Technical FAQ
Will Lite work with my rover?
If your rover takes RTCM over NTRIP (CHCNAV, Stonex, South, Hi-Target, Emlid and most others do), yes. Lite is uncalibrated, so run a known-baseline check before paid work — the guide walks through it.
What does NGS-calibrated mean?
The antenna phase-centre offsets come from a US National Geodetic Survey calibration file, so the network software can model it precisely. Uncalibrated antennas still work, but with slightly higher residual error.
What is the ZED-X20P second-source note?
Some Lite batches ship with a u-blox ZED-X20P instead of the LG290P-class module because of stock. Same constellations including NavIC L5, same RTCM output. The module part number is printed on your unit.
How long does install take?
Self-install is typically half a day: mount, level, power, and a sky photo set. Engineer visits (pilot only) add alignment plus a fix-quality verification on your rover.
What voids the warranty?
Lightning damage where the grounding kit was skipped, physical damage, water ingress from an opened enclosure, and third-party power supplies. Everything else is covered for 24 months.
